Brentwood also has an indoor jacuzzi. Otherwise, the three homes are equipped the same way, so the choice comes down to neighborhood rather than what you get.

Isolation Is a Relapse Risk
A private room sounds better right up until 2 a.m., when there is nobody on the other side of the room. Isolation is one of the most reliable relapse triggers there is, and for most people in their first ninety days, a roommate is not a downgrade. It is part of what works.
Your Own Space Inside a Shared Room
Each resident gets their own bed, their own storage, and room to make the space feel like theirs. Shared does mean no privacy. It means someone notices when you are having a bad night.
Common areas are where the house actually comes together, so we keep them worth spending time in. The game room and the TV areas exist because sober people still need somewhere to be at nine on a Tuesday.

The kitchen is stocked with breakfast and lunch supplies, plus snacks and coffee. Residents handle their own dinners.
Why Regular Meals Matter in Early Recovery
Eating regularly is one of the first things to fall apart in active addiction and one of the first things worth rebuilding. Having food in the house removes a decision from a day that already has plenty of them.
It also takes a real line item off a resident’s budget while they are getting back on their feet. Ask about food anywhere you tour, because two homes quoting the same rate can be several hundred dollars apart a month depending on the answer.

What Rent Covers
Rent covers electricity, water, gas, internet, and laundry. No separate power bill, no internet account to set up, and no quarters for a laundromat.
Why a Single Monthly Number Helps
For someone rebuilding financially, one predictable number is worth more than it looks on paper. Budgeting gets easier when nothing surprises you on the fifteenth of the month.
This is also worth asking about anywhere you tour. Plenty of homes quote a rate and then add utilities, program fees, or testing costs on top of it.

Residents may take an Uber once a day to AA meetings, and Ubers to PHP and IOP appointments.
Why This Matters If You Do Not Have a Car
Most sober living homes leave transportation to the resident, which quietly makes a car a requirement and puts meeting attendance at the mercy of a bus schedule.
We expect residents to attend at least three meetings a week. Covering the rides is how that expectation stays realistic for most people who arrived without a vehicle.

What Is Different About the Brentwood Home
Brentwood has an indoor jacuzzi, the only one across the three houses. It is also the quietest of the three, tucked against the Santa Monica Mountains.
Culver City is the most central, closest to the studios and the Metro E Line. Venice puts residents near the beach and one of the densest meeting schedules in Los Angeles. Same rules, same amenities, different setting.
