Our Programs & Services
Sober Living Services Across the Los Angeles Westside
Solstice Recovery runs three sober living homes on Los Angeles' Westside: Culver City, Venice, and Brentwood. Each one offers more than a bed. Residents get structure, accountability, and a group of people who are working on the same thing they are.
We are not a treatment center. We are a peer-led recovery community with a house manager on site, and we connect residents to the clinical care they need through providers we trust across Los Angeles. Here's what that looks like day to day.
House Structure and Daily Support
Structure is what makes early recovery survivable. Ours is clear, consistent, and enforced without drama.
On-Site House Manager Support
Every home has a live-in house manager. All three houses, every day. They handle the day-to-day, keeps the house running, and is reachable after hours when something comes up. Eric, who founded Solstice Recovery, is in the houses regularly and answers his own phone.
A Personal Plan for Your Stay
Residents map out what their stay is for: meeting commitments, work or school goals, financial obligations, and the outside support they need. It is not a treatment plan. It is a plan for the months ahead, and someone checks in on it.
Accountability Through Weekly Testing
We test for drugs and alcohol every week, at random. Everyone knows it is coming and nobody knows when. That single policy does more to keep a house safe than any rule we could write down.
Weekly House Meetings and Peer Support
The house meets weekly. Residents raise what is working and what is not, sort out house issues directly, and hear from people at different stages of recovery. This is where the community gets built.
Treatment Partnerships and Medical Support
We do not provide clinical treatment. We know the people who do, and we make the introductions.
Outpatient Program Referrals
We work with intensive outpatient programs across Los Angeles and refer residents who need that level of care. Living here while attending an IOP is common, and the house schedule is built to accommodate it.
Detox Referrals
Residents who need medically supervised withdrawal go to a detox program first. We refer to detox facilities we know and trust, and a bed is here when they finish.
Therapist Network
We keep an active list of individual and family therapists on the Westside who understand addiction and work well with people in early recovery. If you need someone, we will point you toward a few options.
Medication and Provider Coordination
Residents on psychiatric medication or medication-assisted treatment keep working with their own prescriber. Our job is to make sure house policy supports that and to help residents find a provider if they need one.
Comfortable Living and Amenities
Early recovery is hard enough without living somewhere uncomfortable. Our homes are clean, maintained, and set up to feel like homes.
Furnished Shared Rooms
Rooms are shared and furnished, with real beds, storage, and natural light. Sharing a room is deliberate. Isolation is one of the most reliable relapse triggers there is, and a roommate is often the thing that keeps someone honest at 2 a.m.
Food and Groceries
We keep breakfast and lunch supplies stocked. Eating regularly matters more in the first few months than most people expect, and having food in the house removes one thing from the list.
Everyday Amenities
Free WiFi throughout the house, dual washer and dryer units, a game room, TVs, and central air and heat. Common areas are where the house actually comes together, so we keep them worth spending time in. The amenities are the same at all three houses. Brentwood also has an indoor jacuzzi.
Transit and Location
We may provide an Uber once a day to AA meetings, and rides to PHP and IOP appointments.
Transition Support and Life Skills
Sober living is a stage, not a destination. The point is leaving ready.
Work and School Support
Every resident works, attends school, or volunteers. We help with resumes, interview prep, and finding something that fits around meetings. Most residents who arrive unemployed are working within their first month or two.
Independent Living Skills
Budgeting, cooking, keeping a schedule, handling conflict without blowing up a relationship. These get practiced here, in a house with other people, before anyone has to do them alone.
Building a Recovery Community
Residents build relationships outside the house: sponsors, home groups, service commitments, sober friends. That network is what carries someone after they move out, so we push for it from the beginning.
Planning Your Move Out
Leaving well takes planning. We work through what comes next before it arrives: where you are living, what your budget looks like, which meetings you keep, and who you call when it gets hard.
Why Choose Solstice Recovery?
Eric Is In the Houses
Eric founded Solstice after his own recovery, and he hasn't stepped back since. He is in the houses; he knows the residents by name, and he answers his own phone when you call. That is not something most operators can say.
Three Westside Locations
Culver City is central and steady. Venice puts you near the beach and one of the densest meeting schedules in Los Angeles. Brentwood sits quieter on the north Westside. Different people do better in different houses, and we will tell you honestly which one we think fits.
Structure Without a Clinical Setting
Some people leaving treatment need another clinical environment. Most need somewhere to practice living. We provide clear expectations and real accountability while residents work, go to meetings, and rebuild, and we connect them to clinical care when the situation calls for it.
