Who We Can Help

If you live in Palms and are looking at sober living, you are probably weighing whether to stay close to home or start somewhere new. Culver City lets you do both. Minutes away, but a different house and a different set of routines.

Our residents are 18 and older, sober when they arrive, and ready for a house with rules. Many come directly from treatment or detox. Others are in outpatient care or have been sober for a few months and want more structure than they can build on their own.

Solstice is not a detox or a treatment program. If you are still using, detox comes first, and we can refer you.

12-Step Meetings In and Around Palms

One advantage of this part of the Westside is how many meetings are within a few miles. AA, NA, and Al-Anon groups run every day of the week.

  • Palms 12 Step Workshop, a welcoming room for newcomers and long-timers alike

  • Westside Alano Club, a long-standing recovery hub with multiple daily meetings

  • Culver City Alano Club, minutes from our Culver City home

  • Pacific Group, known for large, structured meetings and a strong sponsorship culture

Residents may take an Uber once a day to AA meetings, so a missing car does not decide whether you get to a room.

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is your sober living home near Palms?

Solstice Recovery 1 is at 2865 S Corning St, Los Angeles, CA 90034, in Culver City, a few minutes from Palms. Call (818) 462-1910.

What are the admission requirements?

You need to be sober on arrival and willing to follow the house rules: weekly testing, meeting attendance, chores, curfew, and work, school, or volunteering. If you are still using and physically dependent, you likely need detox first, and we will refer you.

Do you accept insurance?

Yes, we work with most private carriers, including Aetna, Cigna, UnitedHealthcare, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Health Net, and Anthem. Every plan is different, so the fastest way to find out where you stand is to call.

How long can residents stay?

There is no maximum stay as long as you are following the program. Longer stays consistently produce better outcomes, and we would rather talk with you about readiness than set an arbitrary limit.

What happens if someone relapses?

We would rather hear it from you than find out from a test. Depending on what happened, a resident may need to complete detox or treatment before moving back in.

How do you help with employment and education?

We help with resumes, interview prep, and finding work that fits around meetings. Eric knows which Westside employers hire people in recovery. Some residents come back to a degree they left or start a trade certification, and we work through how that fits the house schedule.
